This Day Was One to Remember
This day stands out as one I’ll never forget — a true milestone in both joy and transformation. Over those months, I faced my fears head‑on. I opened my heart to people I didn’t fully trust, learning to choose goodness over fear and faith over doubt every single day.
On the outside, it was a celebration — my beautiful daughter’s fifth birthday. The love that poured out was overwhelming: friends and family filled the yard, tables overflowed with food, and nearly thirty children gathered for laughter, play, and what may have been the toughest piñata ever made (it took almost an hour of hits from kids and grown‑ups alike before it finally gave way). My family truly showed up — bringing decorations, homemade strawberry cake, fruit platters, and enough joy to fill our hearts.
On the inside, though, it was a very different season of life. I was a newly single mother of two, navigating deep trauma and healing from CPTSD after the painful unraveling of my family. Just as I launched my own business to support us, I was also caught in the storm of a custody dispute — one that was fueled by misunderstandings and hurt. Even then, I made the conscious decision to rise above division and continue including my ex’s family, choosing compassion and dignity when anger would have been easier.
Looking back, I often think of 2022 as a year I could have easily thrown away — yet, it became the foundation of everything that followed. It was the year I learned endurance, faith, humility, and what it means to rebuild from ashes. The scars I carry from that time are not marks of pain anymore; they are testaments of strength, and I’ll share those stories in due time.
Now, when I reflect on that year, I see how God was placing powerful tools in my hands — not punishments, but preparation. Every hardship became part of the toolbelt I now use to help others who are walking through their own healing processes.
Most of all, I want you to know this: you are stronger than you realize. Whatever pain or fear you’re holding inside, you can begin to release it. Letting go doesn’t erase your story — it simply lightens your steps as you walk forward.
And through it all, the greatest blessing has been my tribe — my family, my children, and the people who chose to stand beside me when life got heavy. These two little humans remain my ultimate “why” — the heartbeat behind every hard decision and brave step I’ve taken. But the tribe I’ve found beyond them — my clients, friends, and fellow healers — has become my compass. We’ve all been shaped by life in different ways, yet together, we remind each other that healing is possible, community is sacred, and love always leads us home. <3
